Religious Education underpins all areas of the curriculum at St. Charles Borromeo and is indeed the reason for our existence.

We belong to a community that has a high regard for social justice and constantly seeking avenues to live the Good News. We are a school committed to being generous in our giving to people who are struggling to survive within our global community - we seek to live the challenge of the call of Micah the prophet: "Live justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with your God."

We embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ and strive to lead our students to a love of the Church and His word. We endeavour to practice the gospel values of honesty, forgiveness, justice compassion and equality and to instil these in all students. Our Values Program also makes a strong connection with our faith journey and embeds these values even further.

We celebrate worship together in the form of whole school Masses and para-liturgies, embracing the opportunities to rejoice in significant occasions in the life of the Church.

Being a Catholic school, we value our commitment to embrace and emulate Christ’s teachings, and to spread the Good News. Through this we share in a unique understanding, which enables all students and families to experience a loving, caring community.

At St. Charles we focus on the total development – spiritual, moral, social, emotional and intellectual – of the individual child. We enhance the dignity of each person and seek to develop students who feel accepted and enjoy an appreciation of life in all its areas.

The school has adopted the Religious Curriculum Framework throughout all classes. Contemporary Learning and an Inquiry approach is incorporated within this sphere.

The staff of St. Charles acknowledge the parents as the primary educators of their children and willingly share this Faith Journey with them, assisting with opportunities for spiritual growth. The school supports the parents and Parish in the preparation of the children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation.
We are proud to be a Catholic school, which is able to offer a unique experience of Faith, Hope and Love.
